USB/XLR Mics in a Class of Their Own
XLR mics used to require at least an extra $100 or more to fully unlock their potential. With a dual USB/XLR microphone, you get a clear upgrade path from day one.
Start with USB, then switch to XLR when you’re ready. Even if the USB side fails, the XLR connection gives your mic a second life, offering broader compatibility and sound shaping through external interfaces.
Don't invest heavily in a USB mic you’ll eventually outgrow. Build your skills and move beyond built-in audio limits with a FIFINE USB/XLR mic.
Balanced Sound, Safe Pairing
These FIFINE hybrid microphones deliver a natural, balanced tone that avoids the “double whammy.” When a bass-heavy mic meets a warm interface, heavy EQ is often needed. With this balanced tuning, pairing with an audio interface never feels risky.
A Dynamic Cardioid Mic for an Untreated Room
If leveling up your audio setup isn't in the cards right now, the USB mode still brings real value to the table. It's for the dynamic cardioid capsule, which is designed to reject those noises, along with room reflections from walls or even your monitor.
Recording in a regular room instead of a treated studio? That’s where this mic shines. It helps you get cleaner voice recordings—whether you're gaming, podcasting, or recording an audiobook—without needing perfect acoustics.
USB Mode, Studio‑Ready: Stream, Record & Create Without Complexity
Whether you’re streaming, podcasting, or recording, the Tank3’s all-in-one USB design keeps you in control. Monitor in real time via the rear headphone jack, adjust levels with the mic dial, or mute with the LED-lit button—no need to leave your software. Everything is built in, so you can focus on creating, not configuring.
Why It's Called "Tank"
Clean and low-key, the Tank3 fits easily into podcast or gaming setups. No RGB, just a sleek black body and gray mesh that keeps attention on your voice.
Compared to the chunkier K688, Tank3’s leaner, denser, and heavier, reducing resonance for cleaner sound. But it doesn’t include a stand or fit standard shock mounts. If your desk moves often, pair it with a sturdy arm like the FIFINE BM88 or BM66.
It’s built like a tank. Almost all metal, from body to mesh. Only the dials, mute button, and mount screw are plastic. Tough, simple, ready to work.
Easy to Drive, Flexible to Shape
As a FIFINE dynamic mic, it stands out by not being gain-hungry. You won’t need to max out your interface—even with entry-level models like FIFINE SC1 or the Behringer UM2—avoiding extra noise.
Its background noise rejection also shines. For best results, speak slightly off-axis from the top to reduce noise without losing clarity. The mic captures natural, crisp sound ready for streaming or recording out of the box. More importantly, its balanced tone is easy to shape to your voice and style.

A Podcast Mic But Not Muddy
Dynamic mics often trade warmth for clarity—but the Tank3 balances both. It has less bass than the K688, yet keeps low-end punch. Speak closer and use the proximity effect for warmth, while stepping back slightly for clarity.
Natural, Not Nasal
The mids aren’t boosted, so nasal voices aren’t emphasized. Compared to others like the Shure MV7, it still leans warm—but never muddy.
Smooth Highs, Less Harsh
Treble is even and controlled—clear but not crunchy. You get less sibilance, even with just the internal foam filter. It’s detailed, not piercing.

FAQs About FIFINE TANK3 Microphone
1. Does it come with an XLR cable?
The microphone does not include an XLR cable, so you will need to purchase one separately. L9 XLR Cable
2. Tank3, K688, and AmpliGame AM8 are USB/XLR dynamic mics, but what are the differences between them?
The main difference is in the sound quality,
- Tank3 is the most neutral-sounding one among the three.
- K688 is more on the high and mid.
- AM8 sounds most like traditional dynamic microphones with a lot more bass.
That means the Tank3 fits a wider range of users; you don't have to worry about your voice getting muddier or harsher. But if your voice is too bassy and your use environment is not quiet, the K688 could be a better fit out of the three. Or even if your voice is deep, but the environment is super noisy, like in your gaming room, then the AM8 has the advantage of noise-rejection over the other two.
Also, the build quality and the appearance matter in this price range. If you have no requirement for lighting, the Tank3 is the clear winner for its super solid metal body, which is 1/3 heavier than the K688 and more compact. And the most lightweight is nowhere close to the League of the Tank3.
3. What kind of microphone arms can you use with it?
The Tank3 doesn’t come with a stand, so you’ll need to purchase one separately. The good news is it supports both 3/8" and 5/8" mounting threads, meaning it’s compatible with almost any stand—no adapter required.
You can pair it with FIFINE stands like the BM88 or BM66, which are designed to match its build and performance seamlessly.

I went into this thinking I'll be mildly happy about having a new microphone for my general day to day usage, but have been pleasantly surprised to find that I seem to have struck gold in terms of value. This microphone is an absolute steal for its price range with its unmatched build quality and straightforward setup. I couldn't be more happy with my purchase and this might just make me a brand loyal customer going forward.

I'll tell you a little bit about my impressions of using the microphone. This is my first Fifine microphone. The mic looks stylish and sounds better than my old mic. Also the microphone has a few nuances. To get more expirience from its use, you should record your voice in prepared conditions and use an additional pop filter. There is no stand included, so you should use your own pantograph.
Overall, the microphone is good for its money. I liked it!

I bought this microphone as a gift for my son to replace the microphone he has been using for a few years. He did his research and requested this one. Of all the gifts he received, this simple thing gave him the most joy! He’s a nineteen year old college student, spending a healthy amount of time on his computer. He’s extremely pleased with this! Thank you! Additionally, I was very pleased with how fast this came.
