FAQs about FIFINE Headsets

Know about the common questions about FIFINE headsets before you buy it, from headset choice to setup tips.

1. Which is Healthier, In-Ear or Over-Ear Headphones?

In-ear headphones deliver sound directly into the ear. So if they're used at high volumes, they potentially cause hearing damage more quickly. They also trap heat and moisture, which can increase the risk if not kept clean.

Over-ear headphones don't block the ear canal. So they're generally considered safer for hearing because they're less likely to be used at dangerously high volumes (sound disperses more). But prolonged use can cause discomfort and ear fatigue from pressure.

The healthiest choice depends on how you use: keep volume at safe levels (below 85 decibels), take regular breaks, maintain proper hygiene, and ensure a comfortable fit.

2. How to Know if a Headset is Good or Not?

1️⃣ Sound quality: Clear, balanced audio with good bass, mids, and treble.
2️⃣ Microphone clarity: Picks up your voice clearly with minimal background noise.
3️⃣ Comfort: Lightweight, adjustable headband, and cushioned ear cups for long use.
4️⃣ Build quality: Durable materials and solid construction.
5️⃣ Features: Extra features like surround sound, noise cancellation, or wireless connectivity, if needed.

3. Wired and Wireless Headphones, Which is Better?

Wired headphones have no latency, never need charging, and typically offer better sound quality at lower price points. However, they're less convenient due to cable tangling and restriction of movement.

Wireless headphones offer greater freedom of movement and convenience, but require charging. They may have slight audio lag, and often cost more. Battery life and connectivity can also be inconsistent.

Choose wired for audio quality, budget, and reliability. For convenience and mobility, choose wireless headsets.

4. Why isn't my FIFINE Headset Mic Working?

For Windows:
Ensure your 3.5mm port supports both microphone and headphone audio. Otherwise, the microphone will not work. You need a Headphone Splitter to make the mic work if your computer has separate 3.5mm ports, or you can use the USB connection.

Check if your USB cable is plugged firmly into the slot. Then, ensure you have set the mic as the input device of the PC and the software you need. Don't mute the mic or turn the mic gain to minimum on the PC audio settings.

For Mac:
Ensure you have set the mic as the input device of the Mac and the software you need to use. Also, ensure you haven't muted the mic or turned the mic gain to minimum on the Mac audio settings.

5. Are the FIFINE Headsets Compatible With PC, Mobile Phones, or Game Consoles?

💻 PC (Windows/Mac/Linux): Most models, including the AmpliGame H6 and H9, are plug-and-play via USB.
🎮 PlayStation (PS4/PS5): Highly compatible via USB, allowing for 7.1 virtual surround sound in many models.
🕹️ Xbox (One/Series X|S): Generally compatible via the 3.5mm jack on the Xbox controllers or controller adapters. Note: The USB-only H6 model is not compatible with Xbox.
⌨️ Nintendo Switch: Compatible with USB or via 3.5mm jack.
📱 Mobile Phones & Tablets: Compatible using the 3.5mm jack (for models that have one, like the H9) or via USB-C adapter.
