Eliminate Mic Static or Buzzing Noise (Applicable to FIFINE Mics)
If you're experiencing static or humming sounds with your FIFINE microphone, this is often related to electrical interference, connection issues, or system settings - not a defect in the microphone itself. The following troubleshooting steps have helped many users resolve these noises effectively.
Check Volume and Speaking Distance
Set your microphone input volume to around 25-30% and speak within 5 inches of the mic for optimal clarity.
Test The Mic On a Different USB Port or Computer
Connect the microphone to another USB port, preferably a USB 3.0 or Type-C port. If possible, test the mic on a different computer.
Use a High-Quality Data Cable
Some static issues can be resolved by using a certified USB data transfer cable, especially a USB-C to USB-C or USB-A cable with shielding against interference.
Away from Electronic Interference
Place the microphone away from routers, phones, tablets, speakers, or power adapters. Avoid laying these devices on or near the microphone cable.
Use a Dedicated Power Source
Plug your microphone and computer into a separate power outlet. Avoid sharing outlets with multiple high-power devices.
Test Audio Outputs Separately
Output audio through your built-in speakers and headphones separately to identify whether the issue is related to a specific playback device.
Disable Built-in Microphones
Make sure FIFINE microphone is set as the input device on your PC, and turn off or disable other recording devices in your sound settings.
Use a Powered USB Hub
If using a laptop, especially models with lower power output, a powered USB hub can provide stable power to the microphone and reduce static.
Most static or buzzing issues can be resolved with these adjustments. If the problem continues, feel free to contact FIFINE customer support for further assistance.
