FIFINE Partners with California Universities to Support Collegiate Gaming Events
FIFINE, a global audio brand known for its accessible microphones and streaming gear. At FIFINE, we make gear for people who care about how they sound — streamers, creators, competitors, and everyone in between.
Throughout 2024 and 2025, FIFINE has expanded its collaboration with university gaming communities across California through a series of collegiate esports and gaming events. By partnering with student-led organizations and providing audio equipment for tournaments, livestreams, and on-site programming, FIFINE is helping support the growing ecosystem of campus gaming and esports.
Supporting Five Major Collegiate Gaming Events
From a three-day online gathering that spanned ten universities to a VALORANT grand final held on UC Davis, each of these five partnerships has been distinct in format, but united by the same energy: genuine communities of gamers who love what they do.
Summer Splash 4
University of California, San Diego (UCSD), August 9–11, 2024
Summer Splash 4 is a three-day online gaming event organized by several collegiate gaming organizations across North America. Designed to bring together student gaming communities during the summer break, the event featured competitive tournaments, casual gaming sessions, industry panels, and community activities hosted through Discord and Twitch.
Participants from 10 universities—including University of California, San Diego (UCSD), Los Angeles (UCLA), and Davis (UC Davis)—joined the event to compete and connect through their shared interest in gaming. Competitions included titles such as VALORANT and osu!, alongside livestream programming such as gaming shows, virtual artist alleys, and professional discussion panels.
FIFINE supported the event through social media promotion and product sponsorship, providing microphones, audio mixers, and gaming accessories used for tournament prizes and community giveaways.

Triton Gaming Expo (TGEX) 2024
University of California, San Diego (UCSD), June 1–2, 2024
Organized by Triton Gaming, one of the largest collegiate gaming organizations in the United States, Triton Gaming Expo is a student-run gaming convention hosted at UC San Diego. TGEX 2024 featured esports competitions, indie game showcases, cosplay contests, artist alley exhibitions, and industry panels.
The TGEX 2024 brings together players, developers, artists, and content creators. This event drew more than 1,800 attendees, with 83% identifying as STEM students, and featured guest panels with VALORANT voice actors (including Carolina Ravassa and Vanille Velasquez), content creators from OfflineTV, and industry alumni.
FIFINE was part of the expo floor alongside brands like Turtle Beach, DeepCool, and OBSBOT, with products featured in raffles and giveaways throughout the event.

Aztec Fall Games 2024
San Diego State University (SDSU), November 23–24, 2024
Founded in 2011, Aztec Gaming has grown into one of SoCal's most established collegiate esports organizations — and their bi-annual Aztec Games events are a rallying point for competitive teams across the region.
The Aztec Fall Games 2024 hosted invitational tournaments across six titles: VALORANT, Rocket League, Overwatch 2, Splatoon, League of Legends, and Rainbow Six Siege. Beyond esports matches, the event also included community activities such as trivia games, sponsor showcases, artist alley booths, and livestream programming on Twitch.
FIFINE contributed to the event through product sponsorship, providing microphones and gaming headsets used by players and organizers during the tournament and livestream broadcasts.

Moogie's VALORANT Throwdown (MVT) 2025
UC Davis, February 3–April 12, 2025
MVT isn't a one-day event — it's a full season. Moogie’s VALORANT Throwdown is a collegiate tournament hosted by the UC Davis esports community. The event features online qualifiers followed by a live LAN Grand Final, where the top teams compete on stage in a best-of-five championship match.
The 2025 finals were held during UC Davis’s annual Picnic Day celebration, one of the largest campus events in California, when the campus hosts over 70,000 visitors. Over 1,800 people entered the venue throughout the 7-hour finals day, with a peak concurrent theatre audience of approximately 400.
FIFINE provided AM8 dynamic microphones and Tank3 microphones, putting professional-quality audio gear in the hands of the tournament's top competitors.

Triton Gaming Expo (TGEX) 2025
University of California, San Diego (UCSD), May 31–June 1, 2025
Following the success of previous years, Triton Gaming Expo returned in 2025 as one of the largest student-run gaming events in California. The convention featured exhibitions, esports tournaments, cosplay competitions, industry panels, and interactive gaming showcases.
Attendance continued to grow, with the event drawing over 2,000 participants and generating more than 1.5 million social media impressions across platforms, including Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram. The audience was primarily composed of college-age attendees between 20 and 21 years old, reflecting the strong presence of student creators and gamers within the community.

FIFINE supported the expo with a wide range of audio equipment. From AM8 USB/XLR microphones, podcast microphone kits, to X3 Bluetooth wireless headsets, and D6 control deck, FIFINE offers a full-range showcase for creators and competitors alike.
Gear That Actually Means Something
For FIFINE, supporting collegiate gaming events is about more than simply providing equipment. These communities represent the next generation of creators, competitors, and innovators shaping the future of gaming and online media.
"For many students, the first microphone they use for streaming, podcasting, or tournament commentary may also be the tool that sparks a long-term creative journey", said a FIFINE representative.
Whether it's a clean AM8 mic setup for stream, H9 headphones that catch every in-game cue, or a SC3 audio mixer that makes content sound professional, FIFINE hopes to help remove technical barriers and empower more creators to share their voices.

Professional audio quality doesn't have to mean professional-level prices. That's been FIFINE's core belief from the beginning — and it's exactly why our gear makes sense as an esports prize. Winners don't just get something nice. They get something they'll use.
Looking Ahead
As collegiate gaming communities continue to expand across North America, FIFINE plans to deepen its partnerships with universities and student organizations. Through ongoing collaborations and event support, the brand hopes to contribute to the development of campus esports while helping student creators share their voices with wider audiences.
“Working with university gaming organizations allows us to connect directly with passionate communities of players and creators,” said a FIFINE representative. “These events showcase the energy and creativity of collegiate esports, and we’re proud to help support them”.
FIFINE is grateful to UCSD, SDSU, and UC Davis for having us — and we're already looking forward to what comes next.
