K053 FAQs

Self Troubleshoot before proceed any further. 

Please include the test result when resorting for email support.

1.Plug in USB, it's normal that the blue indicator blinks for a few secs and doesn't stay on

2.Is "USB PnP Audio Device" seen by your Windows or Mac, or is recognized as unknown device?

🔔For the latest Windows users, in order to access the sound setting, please right-click the speaker icon at the bottom right-choose "Sound"-click "Sound Control Panel" at the upper right of the pop-up window. 

3.If it is recognized and level meter responds when you speak, but you still don't hear audio from PC, have you select correct output device (computer or the mic) under system and software setting?

4.If computer sees it as unknown device, have you test out on a different computer? Tried to update and reinstall the unknown driver for a few times on the same computer? 

 

Q:

1.The microphone is not recognized (follow the video below);

Windows: from 0:29 to 4:01. Mac: from 8:41 to 9:20

2.It is recognized but no sound heard ((follow the video below from 4:01 to 6:48).

3.No sound on my Mac (follow the video below from from 10:40 to 11:44).

4.After upgraded from to Win10, the microphone doesn't work (follow the video below from 6:49 to 7:49).

 

Q: Does K053 USB lapel mic work with phones?

A: Yes, it does. But you need a USB type A to type C or lightening adapter and we have confirmed that it works with: Samsung S and Note series of 7/8/9, iPhone 5-8, XS MAX, Sony Z series, Goolge Pixel 2 and Huawei Mate and P 20. If you are using model that is not listed above, as long as the released date of your phone is similar to those mentioned models, the mic should still work.

  

Q: Microphone doesn't work with my Skype!"

A: 1.Follow the playlist: http://bit.ly/k053problemsolving to check if K053 is working properly. 

2.For Windows user, you can go to Setting→Privacy→Microphone, and set it to allow apps to access to microphone, at lasts restart computer.

3.Update Skype to latest version or re-install the latest Skype.

    Hi @Lyn,
    Could you please test it on another computer? Or check whether you checked “Listen to this device” (plz right click the speaker icon on the right corner of the computer, select Recording device, right click USB PnP Audio device, select properties, Listening.)

    Using K053 mic on Chromebook. Can’t get headphone feedback working with video recording during active recording. Headphones Work on playback. Did not see video address ChromeOS/Linux. Can you help?

    Hi Rayn, First off plz test the mic on another computer to confirm the K053 isn't defective. Then plz plug the mic into the first computer without using a usb hub, right click the USB PnP Audio Device or Unknown USB Device in the driver manager and choose update driver software, then uninstall it, restart the computer. Finally, plz plug the mic into another usb port except the usb hub. If you are using the Windows 10, you may need to pay more attention to the private setting after updating and allow the software access to your mic.     Having issues on windows 10 with my system recognizing the mic. I tried all the trouble shooting of updating drivers, uninstalling, restarting, and changing USB ports.

    Had success ONE TIME. Mic was great. But I have not gotten it to work since. Please help!

    Hi AI, It's not supposed to get any latency if you hear through the headphone jack on K053. Please let us know more info to get into your situation, such as which software you are using, how you connect the K053? Or you can just directly monitor on another software to check whether it still get the latency.
