The simplicity of using a condenser mic defies your belief

• Why 80% of YouTube big names are using a XLR setup recommend but controversially they still recommend a USB microphone? Simply because they are paid? No-no.
• Given the fact that USB microphones are plug-and-play on PC, laptop and even Play Station console (incompatible with Xbox), they are pretty handy for a quick start-up of streaming and recording, or for an on-the-go conferencing and online presentation. This K669 USB microphone is no exceptional.    
• If you have ever heard of how people talked about an XLR setup, you will surprisingly find out how easy it is to get going with a USB microphone. Take the mic out of box, plug it into a normal USB jack on your PC, choose it as default device under software setting and you are up and running. Even if you have got accustomed to a complex XLR setup, you will be amazed by this sort of simplicity.   
• For recording on a mobile, it is still nowhere close to be complicated. All you will need is just a proper USB adapter (not included). But it does not allow audio playback at the same time, which makes it not suited for Skype calls or any kind of online communication on smartphones. 

USB mics are not all much of a muchness

• Without the detachable capsules and cables as well as the audio mixers/interfaces, you maybe thinking a USB microphone is just the copy of another and it will run out of ways to meet the requirements of different audio project. 
• But it is clearly not the case of the FIFINE K669. The shape and the color should be the first two things that come into your eyes. But what you cannot help to noticing is a dial for adjusting input level on the fly. Using keyboard shortcuts to access to the sound control panel and make adjustment from there sounds tricky already. So if you want to do a streaming or broadcast without unpleasant breaks, a USB microphone with controls is more ideal. 
• But a volume dial is not exclusive to the K669, what makes it stand out from the rest is the tone. Combining with the cardioid pattern, the highs-favored calibration marks the most prominent feature-clarity. Thus, compared with other USB condenser mic, it has more remarkable sound focusing and picks up more details up the top for voice-over, vocal-recording. 
• Noise-isolating is never an advantage of a condenser mic, but a relatively low self-noise level for the price is. Thanks to an integrated circuit, you will hear less hissing. The rounded sound is neither a selling point of most USB microphones, but you still can get your voice warmer and more engaged for podcast by placing the mic closer to your mouth.
