Self Troubleshoot before proceed any further.
⚠️Please include the test result when resorting for email support.
- Is "Fifine Microphone" seen by your Windows or Mac or is recognized as unknown device?
- If it is recognized and the level meter responds when you speak, but you still don't hear audio from the PC, have you selected the correct output device (computer or the mic) under the system and software setting?
(Please refer to "It's recognized, but I didn't hear any sound coming out of my Windows when I spoke/It's recognized, but no sound on my Mac. " part below). - If the computer sees it as an unknown device, have you tested out on a different computer? Tried to update and reinstall the unknown driver a few times on different computers?
(Please refer to "My Windows/Mc is not recognizing the microphone" part below). - If there is sound from the microphone but it sounds distorted, are you using it correctly?

Installation & Setup
The thread size is standard 5/8" and 3/8" of the AM8 yoke. So attach the mic onto a scissor arm stand, NO adapter is needed, just screw the mic in. And a tutorial of using the FIFINE BM63 boom arm with the AM8 is below. The steps are the same when you use the AM8 with other arm stand.
Yes. Because the mic is bulit with both 3/8" and 5/8" threads, you can attach the AM8 mic to the boom arm in two ways.
The package comes with the type-c (microphone end) to type-a (computer end) audio cable. For USB connection, you just need to take one end of the cable to the microphone, and the other end to your PC, laptop, Mac or Play Station console or even mobiles through a USB adapter.
XLR cable is not included, either the audio interfaces. Thus, in order to hook up the mic through XLR, you need an audio cable, as well as the device to receive and convert the analog signal, such as a mixer, an audio interface, or a recorder with XLR input.
You have to go to the audio setting of the computer system to check if the "Fifine Microphone" driver is successfully installed, if the level is turned up to a proper point and if the meter moves when you talk to the mic.

Control features in USB mode not working properly
Setup
1️⃣Try to test the mic with a laptop or a smartphone.
2️⃣Use another USB cable with a data transmission function to test the mic.
Interference
1️⃣Check if the mic mute button syncs with the physical mute button on the keyboard, such as a laptop/PC keyboard, or external Bluetooth keyboard.
2️⃣Please keep the mic away from wireless gear, like a wireless mouse or keyboard, by using a boom arm, and test again.
3️⃣Unplug all other USB peripherals like keyboard, mouse, and other mics to test. Only plug the mic into your computer, and test it with each USB port. Do not use a USB hub or extension cable for the connection of the mic.
Software setting
1️⃣Check if the mic is muted on your computer, the speaker icon appears red when it is muted.
2️⃣Go to sound settings- "Sound Control Panel" - "Recording Devices" - set "Fifine microphone" as the default input device - "Properties" - "Levels" - make sure the speaker icon is not in red.
3️⃣Make sure the computer is in work but not hibernation status (like black screen hibernation).
Grounding
1️⃣If there is a grounding problem, try to use a 3-prong to 2-prong adapter on one of your power outlets to break the ground loop.
RGB lighting and mute button not working
RGB lighting and mute button are not available via XLR.
The AM8 mic comes with RGB button, mute button, mic gain, headphones jack and monitoring volume control. These functions only work when connected via usb, but not work via XLR. You can control the mic on mixer or audio interface when connected via XLR.
The audio from the microphone is distorted.
Device Connection
Connect through USB, but not recognized or recognized but no sound
Sorry no. Because all FIFINE USB microphones use a universal driver built into Windows and Mac and even some Linux and Chromebook systems. So there is no specific driver to download. If the driver fails to trigger the automatic installation on Windows, just follow the steps below to update and reinstall the driver. For the other systems users, please check out the correspondent tabs.

⚠️For the latest Windows users, in order to access the sound setting, please right-click the speaker icon at the bottom right-choose "Sound"-click "Sound Control Panel" at the upper right of the pop-up window.
- Please download the application from the link below to clean up the USB registry of your PC. The code for unzipping the file is "fifine".

- Stay on the Device Manager, double click the app to run. Select “Clean”. Finally, restart the computer and replug the mic to another USB port.
If the level meter moves when you speak to the mic, then make sure that you select the correct output device and turned up the output volume.
There are only two situations: one is that the headphone is plugged into the 3.5mm jack of the mic, Then choose "Fifine Microphone" as default out under system sound and software setting. The other is that you plug a pair of headphone into computer, then choose the internal speaker as output device.

If the level meter does NOT move when you speak to the mic, especially when you updated the Win10 system, then please follow the video below to troubleshoot.

Because of the variations of the Chrome OS system, we have only confirmed the computer models and system versions below work.
Toshiba Chromebook 2 (2015) with OS Version: 67.0.3396.99;
Acer R11 with Version: 71;
Acer C720, Acer C740, Samsung Series 3, and Samsung Series 5 with OS Version: 72.0.3626.117.
Then downloaded a Voice Recorder app from the Play Store, you're good to go.
It works when using with a proper USB adapter. But we recommend using it only with Windows and Mac computers, since the quality of the adapters may vary and the low-battery status of your phone may affect the performance of the mic.
Android with a micro-USB port needs a micro-USB male to type-A female adapter.
Android with a type-C port needs a type-C male to type-A female adapter.
iPhone/iPad with a lightning port needs a lightning male to type-A female adapter.
iPhone/iPad with a type-C port needs a type-C male to type-A female adapter.
⚠️Highly recommend the adapter from Apple store if you do want to use the mic for your Apple mobiles.

⚠️Go to "Setting"-"Devices"-"Audio Devices"-uncheck the option of "Switch Output Device Automatically"-plug the microphone into the console while the headset into your controller-choose the correct input and output devices. The shortfall is that you have to do it every time when using your Play Station.
⚠️The mic doesn't work with the Xbox console nor controller directly. So we don't recommend using it with the Xbox. But there's a way to do so. You can get it work but the sound quality would become so bad that you would rather not doing so.
Plug the mic to a computer-find a 3.5mm audio cable-plug one end into the headphone jack at the bottom of the K688 and the other end into your Xbox controller.
