Why a macro keypad with customizable display?

It’s much more convenient to press just one instead of multiple of them to perform the shortcut function. But the appeal would be dented by the fact that it still takes you a lot of effort to remember which one is which. The whole point of the AmpliGame D6 stream controller is to take the game of shortcut keys into another league with its visualized ability.

Easy to read key screen

When it comes to keyboards, the typing feel is always the first priority. There’s no exception on this keypad either. You don’t really want to press it in the first place if the button is mushy; instead, it's just big enough to press right on, and crisp enough to let you press more on it.
Still, if the party piece isn’t the key screen, why bother spending the extra? It must be so easy to read that you don’t have to train yourself to remember all the shortcuts. Instant response to your key press

The screens are illuminated quite nicely, and you can even adjust the brightness within the software, in case it might be too bright for your setup. Combining with the sharp resolution, you really won’t miss a press even if you've just started to use this stream controller.
Since you have to look before pressing, the response time makes a difference in whether you can feel the delay compared to a blind maneuver. In the case of FIFINE D6, it will react instantly to all your button presses, and the software adjustment is pretty responsive as well.

It must be used with software, but there's no learning curve at all

It’s the very first FIFINE model that comes with its own software. What’s even better is that there’s no steep learning curve required. It’s not just pretty intuitive to just drag and drop a shortcut into a blank macro key. Also, because of the simple layout, it’s easy to navigate with just the scene or page shift.

15 buttons seem like a lot, but it’s easy to run out of limits if you really integrate it into your daily workflow. With the software, you can actually create unlimited pages cram endless shortcuts that you may need. Like, setting up all buttons specifically with a profile for Da Vinci Resolve to do cuts, pastes, mark in, mark out, and delete through different buttons. Works great, when it works
I have consistently had issues with getting it to turn on. It won't even register that it is receiving power in any of the USB ports I have (tried multiple types) and it did work in these ports initially. Tried using the USBC to USBC connection on the one C port I have on my computer, and it would turn on but would never get past the start up image. On a whim I tried plugging it into the same port but with an apple USBC to USBC cord and it booted up lightning fast with no problems. My best guess is that they sent me a faulty cord, but now I have to find a new cord that will work USBA to USBC so I can use the USBC port again. Otherwise when it works, I would say its a good affordable alternative to a stream deck, maybe just work on your power cables.
